Seminar: Solving Your Financial Puzzle
Presenter - Justin Hareb, Owner of JJ Hareb Financial Planning
In this month's presentaion, Justin Hareb will be covering:
  • Money can be an emotive topic; what's your relationship with money and how do you feel about the state of your finances right now?
  • How much attention do you give to your finances amidst all of the busyness of life and the complexity of the UK financial ecosystem? I often hear new Clients (especially business owners) say that they simply ignore it and focus on generating an income.
  • So, let's start at the beginning and bring some visibility to the key rules, regulations and considerations in the UK as well as key financial planning fundamentals.
  • When asked what help is being sought, the answer is usually along the following lines: "I want to live comfortably, avoid costly mistakes, minimise taxes, beat inflation, retire with a decent income and gift an inheritance to my beneficiaries one day, but I'm not sure if I'm on track."
  • So, while such aspirations make sense, they lack specificity. What does "living well" mean, exactly, for you and your loved ones? What are your specific ambitions in life and the anticipated timings and costs? What do you want to do more of and less of over time?...and when can you afford to stop work or slow down? Once those goals are clear, you have the basic waypoints for your plan, but what's the most effective route map forward?
  • I propose that the key to answering these questions lies with a bespoke cash-flow model and I'm going to show you what that looks like, how it works and how you can use it to solve your own financial puzzle.
